Sustainability
Our Strategy
At Maleny Cheese, we are committed to continuously improving the way we operate to reduce our environmental impact and support a more sustainable dairy industry.
Our approach focuses on practical actions across our production, packaging, and visitor operations. This includes working closely with local dairy farmers to support responsible land management and reduce food miles by sourcing fresh milk from the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
We are actively improving our packaging and waste practices, including reducing materials where possible and increasing recyclability across our product range. We also prioritise efficient water and energy use within our production and café operations.
As a business that welcomes visitors, we aim to provide an experience that reflects respect for our environment and region, while continuing to identify opportunities for improvement in waste reduction, emissions awareness, and sustainable tourism practices.
Sustainability is an ongoing journey for Maleny Cheese, and we are committed to taking practical steps that balance quality food production with care for our land, animals, and community.
