Our Retail Shop is open Monday to Sunday, 10 am – 3 pm. Our Café operates full menu Wednesday to Sunday.

Getting Here and Parking

Location: Maleny Cheese Café is located in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, easily accessible by car.

Bus: Direct bus access from Nambour Train Station Route 890 Nambour to Maleny via Mapleton, Flaxton and Montville (Monday to Friday). A 300m walk from the corner of Maleny-Montville Road and Maleny-Landsborough Road is accessible with bus service from Landsborough Train station Route 891 (seven days). Use Translink to
find a journey and timetables.

Parking: We offer designated accessible parking spaces close to the café entrance with clear signage. These spaces are compliant with Queensland accessibility standards.

Drop-off Zone: A drop-off zone near the main entrance is available for those requiring assistance.

Tours and Experiences

Tour Accessibility: Our Yoghurt and Cheese Tasting Tours are designed to be
inclusive. We can accommodate visitors with mobility aids and provide seating during the tour upon request. Please inform us ahead of your visit about any specific accessibility needs.

Hearing and Vision: For visitors with hearing or vision impairments, we offer printed materials in large print and can provide verbal descriptions or one-on-one assistance when possible. Please contact us in advance to arrange support. Braille signage to the bathrooms is in place.

Staff Training: Our team members are trained to provide respectful and helpful assistance to all guests, including those with disabilities.

Entrance and Pathways

Entry Access: The main entrance has a step-free, wide doorway suitable for wheelchair access and mobility aids and can be directly accessed from the designated accessible parking spaces.

Pathways: Outdoor and indoor pathways are wheelchair accessible and non-slip. Some areas are gently slopped and designed for ease of movement.

Ramps: Access from the lower, general carpark provides a wide pathway that is easy to navigate but does involve a slope and change in floor level.

Seating and Facilities

Seating: We have accessible seating areas inside the café with tables designed to accommodate wheelchairs. Any specific seating arrangements can be negotiated on the day. Removal of chairs to allow wheelchair access. Highchairs are also available for young children

Bathroom: An accessible toilet is located within the café premises, equipped with grab rails and sufficient space for wheelchair users. This bathroom also contains a baby change table for young children’s needs

Assistive Devices: Our team is happy to assist with opening doors or carrying itemsupon request.

Public Transport: The café is accessible via regional bus services. Bus stop for Route 890 is located directly opposite Maleny Cheese Café, while it is a 300m walk from the bus stop for Route 891. Please check local timetables for routes and stops near Maleny.

Taxi and Rideshare: Accessible taxi services and rideshare options are available in the region. Drivers can drop guests at our designated drop-off zone.
