Visit Maleny
The misty mountains of Maleny are such a special part of South-East Queensland, Australia – just over an hour’s drive from Brisbane. The incredible views out to the Glasshouse Mountains or the rolling green countryside draws visitors all year round. It really is breathing different air up here, and there’s a little bit of indescribable magic that you have to experience to fully understand. In any case, the Sunshine Coast hinterland is a place you’ll want to come back to again and again.
European settlement of Maleny began in this historic town in the 1870s. Our traditional custodians are the Nalbo and Dallambara people. Dairy farming has a long history in the Hinterland area, spanning from the 1890s. So when you visit Maleny, there’s lots of opportunity to experience the region’s rich dairy history. Our Maleny butter was once sent all the way to England!
The Hinterland dairy industry is being lovingly revived by many small dairy producers (like ourselves) as well as our local dairy colleagues, retailers and restaurateurs. We offer lots of opportunities to see, taste and explore the region’s delicious dairy, and for visitors to immerse themselves in an authentic paddock to plate food experience. From dairy to produce and everything in between, it’s a food lover’s paradise.
