Feta Cheese: Maleny Feta-Style Range

The Maleny Feta Cheese range consists of four varieties of feta-style cheese. Our range includes our Bald Knob Farmhouse, Swiss-style feta, which is not heavily brined, and therefore contains less salt. As well as our Plain Feta, which is more a traditional style brined feta. Our other varieties include aromatic herbs and Mediterranean flavours. Being a fresh cheese, feta can be eaten soon after it is made, with no maturing required. Our feta-style range is characterised by a firm, crumbly texture with a salty bite.

Ways to make that feta all the better

Feta is such a versatile cheese. It adds wonderful flavour and a hit of protein when cubed or crumbled in your salad. You can also crumble feta over your favourite dishes like pizza, pasta or vegetables. Feta is great when baked in the oven, creating a wonderfully soft result which can be taken on a sweet or savoury journey depending on your taste. Our flavoured feta varieties are delicious sliced or cubed in your antipasto platter or presented as part of your cheeseboard. If you’re looking to match feta, a crisp Sauvignon Blanc will go perfectly. As feta is lovely paired with so many flavours, you may also look to lean into a stronger wine should the occasion call for it.
